How to Sign Up with Prepaid24

  1. Go to Prepaid24's Sign Up page.
  2. After specifying your Language Preference, enter the applicable user details for us to seamlessly process your payments & send you your tokens within moments.
    Important Note: As a Steve Tshwete client, you will need to enter your municipal prepaid account number - NOT your meter number.)
  3. Tick the boxes for accepting both Prepaid24 and your municipality’s Terms & Conditions.
  4. Click the “Confirm your details” button and then the “Confirm Name + Address” button after ensuring that the information displayed is correct.
  5. Click on “Sign Up”. (Welcome to Prepaid24!)
  6. On the Welcome page, click on “MAKE PURCHASE” and then select the "Steve Tshwete" button.
  7. Here, you will be able to conveniently view/pay your municipal accounts and/or buy prepaid electricity (given that you have no arrears on your account).

Helpful Tip: You will receive a Welcome mail from Prepaid24 which will include your personal Prepaid24 Instant link. To make future online payments and purchases quicker & easier than ever before, save this link onto your phone’s home screen.

Steps to Pay your Municipal Accounts

  1. Log into your MyPP24Profile with the cell number & password you entered & created upon Sign Up.
  2. Go to "Transact" and click on the "Steve Tshwete" button.
  3. If you have more than one main account, select the account number for which you want to pay/purchase and click on “View/Pay Account”. If you only have one main account, carry on with Step 4.
  4. Specify the amount you want to pay next to each sub-account or click on “Settle” to pay the full amount. If you want to buy electricity too, please be sure to settle your arrears accounts. This will enable you to enter a token amount under “Buy Prepaid Electricity”.
  5. After clicking on “Add Purchase”, click on "Pay Now" on the Checkout page.
  6. Choose your preferred payment option and follow the simple on-screen prompts to make your payment.

Steps to Buy Electricity

  1. Log into your MyPP24Profile with the cell number & password you entered & created upon Sign Up.
  2. Go to "Transact" and click on the "Steve Tshwete" button.
  3. Before buying electricity, please settle your arrears accounts first (this can be done on the same page). Then, enter the amount of electricity you want to buy under “Buy Prepaid Electricity”.
  4. After clicking on “Add Purchase”, click on "Pay Now" on the Checkout page.
  5. Choose your preferred payment option and follow the simple on-screen prompts to make your payment.

Your electricity tokens will be emailed to you within minutes after making your payment!

  1. Instant EFT via Ozow - With no banking delays or waiting times to receive your payment confirmations or tokens, this is the quickest way to use Prepaid24. Read more

Yes, you can! Since 2016, Prepaid24 has worked closely with Steve Tshwete Local Municipality to provide residents with a convenient online channel to pay their municipal accounts. All you need to do is Sign Up with Prepaid24 and follow the simple steps provided. There also aren’t any extra costs!

2) How long does it take for my payments to reflect?

Municipal payments made through Prepaid24 reflect immediately on your municipal account balances, with confirmation of your payment being sent to you within a few minutes. Electricity tokens are also sent within moments after making your payment.

3) What other products can I buy on Prepaid24?

Prepaid24 offers a wide variety of online products, including Prepaid Airtime, Data, Google Play, Netflix, Showmax, Uber, Pick ‘n Pay, Spotify & PlayStation vouchers. You can purchase all of these (and so much more) with a single payment through Prepaid24.

4) Do you accept credit card payments?

Though we do not have a direct credit card payment option, you can use your credit card to top up your Prepaid24 SmartFund facility. The available credit on your SmartFund can then be used to make all your desired municipal payments & purchases. Please note that a 3.75% fee will apply on all credit card payments.
